Foundered Nov 17, 1902 thirteen miles southeast of Two Harbors MN. Downbound from Superior WI to Cleveland OH with cargo of iron ore towing barge Ashland, stern pipe burst and vessel sank. Crew rescued by Ashland, which was towed to Two Harbors by tug Edna. Enrollment surrendered Jan 30, 1903.
