Sold 1942 to United States Navy and converted to a training aircraft carrier at Buffalo NY. Renamed Wolverine (IX-64). Used on Lake Michigan during World War II training pilots in aircraft carrier flying techniques. Retired Aug 1945.
Sold for scrap 1947 to A. F. Wagner Iron Works, Milwaukee WI and scrapped at Milwaukee.
