Management transferred 1991 to Great Lakes Bulk Carriers, Winnipeg MB, a vessel operation and management joint venture of Canada Steamship Lines, Misener Shipping and Pioneer Shipping to operate their straight deck vessels, David K. Gardiner (COO of Misener), Mgr.
Great Lakes Bulk Carriers discontinued 1994 and vessel sold to Algoma Central Marine, Sault Ste. Marie ON and renamed Algocape (2). Management transferred to Seaway Bulk Carriers, St. Catharines ON, a vessel operation and management joint venture of Algoma Central Railway and ULS Corporation to operate their straight deck vessels, ULS Corporation, Mgr.
Self-unloader and straight deck management organizations of these firms merged 2000 into a single firm, Seaway Marine Transport, St. Catharines ON

I worked at stelco in Hamilton on the ore docks in 1967. I always remember the Richelieu because the ship was brand new at the time.
