Foundered Nov 2, 1924 off Garden Island MI, Straits of Mackinac.  Enroute light for Manistique MI towing barge C. E. Redfern, sprang leak and sank.  Crew rescued by barge.

  1. My great great grandfather was the captain of the Niko in the late 1800s to early 1900s and assisted the ship that caught on fire near Oscoda, MI.
