My father was wheelsman on this ship in the 1920s carrying grain from the head of the lakes. I believe it was nicknamed the hunchback due to a noticable warp in the hull. Father noted that it was like that when he shipped on and assumed it had occurred on a particularly rough event prior to his shipping on.
