Launched Feb 27, 1919

Built as a general cargo freighter for the United States Shipping Board for off-Lakes service during World War I and left the Great Lakes upon completion

261’ LOA, 251’ LBP, 43’6” beam, 28’2” depth
1 deck, coal-fired boilers, triple expansion engine, 1300 IHP

Enrolled at Detroit MI
251.0 x 43.6 x 26.1, 2592 GT, 1604 NT     US 217658 

Sold 1925 from the postwar reserve fleet to Ford Motor Co., Detroit MI and returned to the Great Lakes

Converted to barge and lengthened 62’ at River Rouge MI by Great Lakes Engineering Works
Remeasured to  313.0 x 43.6 x 26.0, 3183 GT, 3040 NT

Entered Great Lakes service 1929

Requisitioned 1943 for off-Lakes service during World War II and left the Great Lakes via Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.

To Panamanian registry 1946

Went ashore Oct 19, 1944 near Havana Cuba.  Refloated and towed to Mobile AL, where she was scrapped in 1947.
