Built at Helsinki Finland by Valmet O/Y Helsingin Telakka, Hull 279
Hull strengthened for operating under heavy ice conditions.  Launched for and operated in ocean service.  Chartered late 1985 for winter operation on the Great Lakes

Enrolled at
338.3 x 57.8 x 26.3, 3865 GT, 1738 NT     Finland     to:
Neste O/Y Espoo and chartered to Sun Oil Co.

Operated on the Great Lakes winters of 1985-86 and 1986-87 carrying oil from Sarnia ON to Chicago IL

Returned fall 1987 for year around service on the Great Lakes

Charter discontinued 1993 and vessel reassigned to off-Lakes service and left the Great Lakes.  Cleared Sarnia ON June 16, 1993 with cargo of oil for Rotterdam Netherlands.
