346.0 x 48.0 x 28.0, 3719 GT, 2769 NT     US 77458 to:
American Ship Building Co., Cleveland OH (home port to Cleveland OH)

Reenrolled at Cleveland OH May 4, 1901 (#117) to:
Globe Steamship Co.,

Entered service 1901

Fleet merged 1903 into Gilchrist Transportation Co.,

Fleet went into receivership 1910

Sold at auction 1913 to Lackawanna Steamship Co., Cleveland OH, Pickands Mather & Co., Mgr.

Fleet renamed Interlake Steamship Co.

Cargo hold rebuilt 1916 to arch construction

Laid up in early 1930s and did not operate again for this fleet

Sold 1937 to Great Lakes Silica Corporation,

Firm went bankrupt and vessel sold 1938 at auction to Jupiter Steamship Co., Cleveland OH

Sold 1957 to Cargo Carriers Inc., Chicago IL

Made very few trips for Cargo Carriers, then laid up with storage grain at South Chicago IL and did not operate again

Sold for scrap 1958 to Luria Brothers.  Resold to Steel Company of Canada.  Towed to Hamilton ON May 1959 and scrapped

  1. This was the first boat my grandpa, Alfred C.Drouillard, served on as captain in 1925.
