Built to replace MV Joseph Medill, built for the same fleet in 1935 but lost in the Atlantic Ocean on her delivery voyage to the Great Lakes

259’ LOA, 250’ LBP, 43’9” beam, 22’ depth
1 deck, 2 oil-fired diesel engines, 1000 bhp

Sold 1963 for off-Lakes service and left the Great Lakes

Sold 1964 to Desgagnes Navigation Ltd., Montreal QC and renamed Jean-Talon 
Vessel’s primary operation was on the lower St. Lawrence River but she occasionally traded on and into the Great Lakes, operated by this fleet which also includes vessels regularly trading on the Great Lakes.

Sold 1974 to off-Lakes operators

Renamed Sovereign Opal (Panama) 1974 and Falcon III 1976

Scrapped about 1982
