Sunk Aug 3, 1900 in collision with barge Santiago off Fort Gratiot, Port Huron MI, St. Clair River. One life lost. Enroute from Marquette MI to Cleveland OH with cargo of iron ore towed by str. Kaliyuga. Santiago was upbound towed by str. Appomattox. Enrollment surrendered Nov 19, 1900.
