Stranded Oct 21, 1898 on Rock of Ages, Isle Royale, Lake Superior and sank. Downbound from Duluth MN with cargo of barley towing schooner John Martin. Schooner dropped tow line in storm Oct 17 and was taken in tow of str. Roman. When storm let up, search the lake for the schooner and on Oct 21 was wrecked on Rock of Ages Reef and sank. No lives lost. Enrollment surrendered Feb 2, 1899.
