Launched as Stena Trailer (Sweden) for ocean service. Renamed Nopal Sky 1974, Stena Trailer 1977, Kirk Trailer (Cayman Islands 384411) 1978, Caribbean Trailer 1978 and Caribbean Trailer (Panama) 1980. Chartered 1983 to firm below and came to the Great Lakes.

In service carrying truck trailers between Windsor ON and Thunder Bay ON for Newman Terminals and Transport Inc., Windsor ON.
Several Canadian shipping firms filed objections to the use of foreign flag vessels in this service but were denied relief because none could provide vessels suitable for the task.
Left the Great Lakes at the end of the season.
(The next season MV Jensen Star was secured for this service. Her owner Jensen Shipping Ltd. was one of the firms which had filed the objections in 1983.)
