Launched July 15, 1854

1 deck, coal-fired boilers, vertical beam engine,

In service between Hamilton ON and Oswego NY for the Great Western Railway

Sold 1857 to Detroit & Milwaukee Railroad Co., Detroit MI

Laid up late in the 1857 season because of the Panic of 1857 and did not operate on the Great Lakes again.

Sold 1858 for off-Lakes service and left the Great Lakes.  Down St. Lawrence River June 1858.

Renamed Mississippi 1859

Foundered Aug 12, 1862 in gale, South Atlantic Ocean.
