Sunk Aug 20, 1852 in collision with str. Ogdensburg six miles above Long Point, Lake Erie. Enroute from Buffalo NY to Detroit MI. Ogdensburg enroute from Cleveland OH to Ogdensburg NY with cargo of wheat. Loss of life estimates vary from 130 to more than 300 of 600 aboard.
