Foundered May 9, 1906 off Cleveland OH. Enroute from Escanaba MI with cargo of iron ore, anchored off harbor in storm. Local tugs refused to come out in aid of the vessel because of a tug strike. Two lives lost. Five men made it to shore in the vessel’s yawl and the cook swam to shore. The captain and the chief engineer were lost. Enrollment surrendered May 11, 1906.
