Fleet sold Feb 22, 1916 to Great Lakes Transit Corporation, Buffalo NY
The railroads were required under the provisions of the Panama Canal Act of 1912 to divest themselves of competing vessels.  Great Lakes Transit Corporation was organized to own and operate these vessels.

Sold April 16, 1916 to Boland & Cornelius, Buffalo NY

Sold Sept 17, 1917 to U. S. Shipping Board, Washington DC for off-Lakes service during World War I.  Cut in two, towed to Montreal QC and rejoined

Stranded Dec 10, 1917 on Escuminac Point near Chatham NB on the Gulf of St. Lawrence.  No lives lost.
