Transferred 1914 to Kinney Steamship Co., Cleveland OH (home port to Duluth MN)

Sold 1937 to Buckeye Steamship Co., Cleveland OH, Hutchinson & Co., Mgr.

Sold 1959 to Alpha Lake Ship Co., a subsidiary of Continental Grain Co. for grain storage in Buffalo NY harbor and retired from active service.

Sold for scrap 1964 to Marine Salvage Ltd., Port Colborne ON and scrapped at Port Colborne.

  1. My grandfather sailed on the Upson ca. 1916-1918. His name was Duncan Anderson. He was certified as an oiler.

  2. I have a photos [ marked #15573] dated 1940, Oct. 29 of A.T. Kinney by American Studios Lacrosse WI of vessel in dry dock on water and crew members.
    Interested? Some hoe related to my sisters late husband Robert Gillis.
