Remeasured to 7718 GT, 6142 NT

Fleet merged July 1951 into parent United States Steel Corporation (home port to New York NY)

Fleet renamed United States Steel Great Lakes Fleet July 1967 (home port to Wilmington DE)

Did not operate 1972

Struck breakwater leaving Gary IN July 12, 1973 and when she returned to Duluth MN she could not pump out her ballast before reloading.  After inspection at shipyard, laid up at Duluth and did not sail again..

Sold for scrap 1975 to Hyman-Michaels Co.  Scrapped at Duluth.
