Converted to steamer 1899 at Detroit MI by Detroit Dry Dock Co.  Coal-fired boilers and triple expansion engine installed, 700 IHP.
Remeasured to 3218 GT, 2899 NT

Transferred 1904 to Aurania Transit Co., Cleveland OH, John Corrigan, Mgr.

Foundered April 30, 1909 in Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior.  No lives lost.  Grounded on Point Iroquois.  Damage in grounding unknown but after release caught in the ice and began to settle by the bow.  Crew launched her three boats onto the ice and tried to pull them but abandoned the heavy yawls and kept the light boat to use to cross stretches of open water between the ice flows.  Crew picked up by str. J. H. Bartow.
