Stranded Nov 25, 1898 in gale two miles south of Point Betsie, Lake Michigan. Enroute from Chicago IL to Prescott ON with cargo of corn. The Lifesaving Service fired a line in the direction of the vessel’s whistle. The line caught in the whistle’s cord and started the whistle, alerting the crew to the presence of rescuers. One life lost when the vessel’s yawl capsized. Vessel broke up Dec 1898 after unsuccessful attempt at salvage by salvage tug Favorite. Enrollment surrendered May 3, 1899.
