Wrecked Oct 8, 1906 at north entry to Keweenaw Waterway.  Two lives lost.  Enroute from Ashtabula OH to Superior WI with cargo of coal towed by str. Gladstone, seeking shelter in the canal from a heavy storm, the barge hit the breakwater at the entrance to the canal.  Enrollment surrendered June 30, 1907.
