Transferred 1903 to Lakeside Steamship Co., J. D. Langell, Mgr. (home port to Duluth MN)

Sold Oct 27, 1917 for off-Lakes service and left the Great Lakes.  Because she was too long to transit the canals of the St. Lawrence River, ten feet of her stern was removed at Buffalo NY by American Ship Building Co. and put on her deck.  When she reached tidewater, her stern was reattached at Montreal QC.  (This is the only known case of a wooden vessel cut in two for transit to the sea.)
