Have record that my gg grandfather, Jared Erwin Kennan or JE Kennan may have captained this vessel during this time frame. Was hoping you may find some information on him on this ships records. Thanks.
I have checked the assignments of captains to this vessel (and fleet) from 1899 to 1913 (the year of your great great grandfather’s death) and do not find his name. He could have been assigned captain temporarily or permanently later in one of these seasons but I have only the the preseason captain and chief engineer appointments for the fleets.
