Enrolled at Cleveland OH July 23, 1891 (#6)

296.2 x 40.4 x 21.1, 2348.43 GT, 1875.23 NT     US 110932     to:

Menominee Transit Co., Cleveland OH, M. A. Hanna & Co., Mgr. (home port Rockport OH)

Fleet founded by Ferdinand Schlesinger et al.  Controlled by Elbert H. Gary’s Federal Steel Co. 1899-1901

Entered service 1891

Fleet merged spring 1901 into Pittsburgh Steamship Co., Duluth MN, a subsidiary of United States Steel Corporation, A. B. Wolvin, Mgr. (home port to Duluth MN)

Sold Jan 25, 1918 to U.S. Shipping Board, Washington DC for off-Lakes service during World War I.  Cut in two at Buffalo NY by Buffalo Dry Dock Co., towed to Lauzon QC and rejoined by Davie Shipbuilding & Repairing Co.

Renamed Libertas (France) 1918

Foundered Nov 11, 1919 off Sandy Hook NJ, Atlantic Ocean on delivery voyage to France.  Hulk raised and scrapped 1924.
