Remeasured 1865 under Act of May 6, 1864 (new measurement rules) to 216.1 x 37.15 x 19.75, 1187.19 tons      US 15803  

 

 

Sunk Nov 23, 1866 in collision with str. Milwaukee in the St. Clair River.  Downbound with cargo of iron ore in barrels and other package freight.  2 lost.  Raised, repaired and converted to bulk freighter.

 

Foundered Oct 14, 1872  20 miles off Racine WI, Lake Michigan.  Nine lives lost.
