Driven on bar Sept 15, 1873 and broke up 5 miles off Grand Haven MI, Lake Michigan. Carrying cargo of general merchandise. Sprang leak in storm, flooding her machinery spaces and putting out her fires. Estimates of lives lost vary from 16 to 20 lost of 28 or 37 aboard. Enrollment surrendered Sept 30, 1873.
