Sunk June 20, 1868 in collision with bark Courtland off Lorain OH, Lake Erie. Loss of life reported between 23 and 45. Most of crew and passengers rescued by str. R. N. Rice. All 13 aboard Courtland lost. Enrollment surrendered Dec 24, 1872 (delay in surrender because attempts were made to raise the vessel from the Lake Erie bottom.
