Foundered Oct 5, 1932 off Barcelona NY, Lake Erie. Four lives lost. Cleared Erie PA with cargo of coal, including deck cargo, for Hamilton ON. Struck by heavy sea in gale; deck cargo shifted and vessel capsized with only a few minutes warning.

My dad was the engineer who drowned in that ship, but the names of those lost is hard to find. I tried.
My grandfather , Lawrence Alexander, Vennard was a ships mate on this ship , John J Boland Jr , he was on it when it went down, he told me a few stories about the day , him and a young lady jumped off the bow , said she didn’t survive
He said she was dead before they hit the water I don’t know her name
