Laid up Oct 16, 1910 upon transfer of crossriver freight operations to new Detroit-Windsor railroad tunnel

Sold Oct 1933 to Roen Steamship Co., Sturgeon Bay WI.  Converted to barge winter 1933-34.  Deck crane installed spring 1934 as lumber barge

Remeasured 1935 to 1397 GT, 1353 NT

Grounded Oct 3, 1935 off Little Lake, 20 miles west of Whitefish Point MI, Lake Superior and abandoned to the underwiters as a constructive total loss.  Purchased from the underwriters on an “as is” basis by Capt. John Roen and placed back in service.

Stranded Sept 22, 1942 near Eagle Harbor MI, Lake Superior.  None lost from Transport (1 lost from other barge).  Enroute from Grand Marais MI towed with the barge City of St. Joseph by the tug John Roen with loads of pulpwood for the Port Huron Sulphite Co, Port Huron MI.  Towline from City of St. Joseph to Transport broke in a sudden storm and City of St. Joseph struck the rocks and sank.  Transport towline to tug broke soon after and she was wrecked on the beach and lost.
