I have a picture of the Charles c West. Are you still looking for one? Send me your email and I will sent you a copy.
A propeller from this steamship is now displayed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company Park, 51 Maritime Dr., Manitowoc, WI
The West was my father-in-law’s favorite freighter, as he served on her for 12 seasons as mate in his 35 years with Reiss Steamship Company. I have been very fortunate to collect numerous artifacts from her over the years that are now displayed in my private museum in our Port Huron home, including her bell, one of her nameboards, one of the “R” stack logos and her whistle light.
I found in my garage, a life preserver ring with Charles C. West on it.
