Sailed across Atlantic under her own power, cut in two and towed to Ogdensburg NY, where she was rejoined

Sold Feb 7, 1916 to A. B. Mackay, then to Moore & McCormack Co., New York NY for off-Lakes Service during World War I (and brought on U. S. registry – US 214637)

Sunk March 12, 1917 by German submarine U-62 off Scilly Isles, Cornwall, Eng. (She was the first U. S. flag vessel sunk by a German submarine in World War I)
