Damaged Jan 21, 1978 in fire while in winter layup at Capital No. 4 grain elevator of International Multifoods Corporation at Duluth MN.  Fire apparently started previous evening by workmen performing maintenance work on the elevator.  The fire destroyed the wooden elevator, which collapsed onto the forward cabins of the vessel.  Abandoned to the underwriters as a constructive total loss and sold for scrap to Hyman Michaels Co.  Scrapped at Duluth during following year.
