Fleet sold Feb 22, 1916 to Great Lakes Transit Corporation, Buffalo NY
The railroads were required under the provisions of the Panama Canal Act of 1912 to divest themselves of competing vessels.  Great Lakes Transit Corporation was organized to own and operate these vessels.

Stranded Oct 3, 1923 off Pine River, east of Keweenaw Peninsula in fog and forest fire smoke.  Released, repaired and returned to service.

Remeasured 1924 to 4053 GT, 3132 NT

Renamed J. E. Gorman 1927

Chartered for 1941 season to Minnesota-Atlantic Transit Co.

Requisitioned 1942 by U. S. War Shipping Administration, Washington DC for off-Lakes service during World War II and left the Great Lakes.  Towed down the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers to the Gulf of Mexico.

Renamed Adelaide (Panama) 1948

Scrapped 1955 in Japan
