Sold 1957 to American Steamship Co., Buffalo NY, Boland & Cornelius, Mgr. (home port to Buffalo NY)

Renamed B. W. Druckenmiller 1958

Laid up at end of 1962 season at Buffalo NY and did not operate again for this fleet

Sold 1964 to Wilson Marine Transit Co., Cleveland OH (home port to Wilmington DE) and renamed A. T. Lawson.

Fleet sold 1972 to Kinsman Marine Transit Co., Cleveland OH

Sold 1975 to Robert Pierson Holdings Ltd. , Hamilton ON (home port to Hamilton ON) and renamed George G. Henderson.

  1. B. W. Druckenmiller was my grandfather. His full name was Barton Washington Druckenmiller and he was president of Penn Dixie Cement in Easton, PA. Years ago, I saw someone online wondering about this.

  3. I’m searching for information on Charles Joseph Volk. He was an engineer on either the Shenango or Schoonmaker freighter in 1940’s or 1950’s. Family history is that he was chief engineer for a large Shenango Co. lake freighter, but not sure which ship.

    • Found it from a 1951 Lakes Carrier Bulletin, page 12. Charles J Volk, my grandfather, was chief engineer on the Shenango.
