Cargo hold rebuilt 1916 to arch construction at Toledo OH by Toledo Shipbuilding Co.
Remeasured to 25.3 depth and 5206 GT, 3841 NT

Remeasured 1938 to 455.2 x 52.2 x 24.9, 5265 GT, 4205 NT

Sunk April 27, 1944 in collision with str. Ashcroft 20 miles north of Conneaut OH, Lake Erie.  12 lives lost.  Downbound with cargo of iron ore from Escanaba MI to Buffalo NY, Ashcroft upbound light.  Sank in 65 feet of water; hull dynamited in Nov as hazard to navigation.
