Cargo hold rebuilt 1920 to arch construction
Stranded Dec 7, 1927 in blizzard on Michael Bay on the south shore of Manitoulin Island, Georgian Bay. Downbound with 200,000 bu. of wheat. Crew rescued Dec 11 by tug General and vessel abandoned to the underwriters as a constructive total loss. Salvaged spring 1928 by Reid Wrecking Co. and towed to Collingwood ON. Sank outside harbor on arrival. Repaired by Collingwood Shipbuilding Co.
Sold late 1929 to Arrow Steamships Ltd., Toronto ON (home port to Toronto ON) and renamed Robert P. Durham.
Reenrolled 1930 at 377.0 x 46.1 x 22.1, 3525 GT, 2508 NT
Sold 1939 to Quebec & Ontario Transportation Co., Thorold ON (home port to Montreal QC) and renamed Heron Bay. (1).
Boilers converted to oil firing 1940
Sold 1963 to Federal Commerce & Navigation Co. for off-Lakes service and taken to Port Cartier QC to be used as a salt storage barge. Renamed Federal Husky.
Sold 1965 to Spanish shipbreakers and scrapped at Bilbao Spain.

OWENSOUND HAD SEVERAL CEMENT PLANTS. The AGAWA is named as named as having shipped cement.from Owen Sound, Ontario.
At 26th St West there was cribbing of a dock in 1950. I THINK THERE WAS A PLANT AT 24TH ST & 3rd Ave.W.
Am researching the cement industry in Owen Sound for use in the Grey Bruce Archives.
