Superior Shipbuilding Co., Duluth MN (home port Duluth MN)
Built by A. B. Wolvin with sister barge Loyalty and steamers Asuncion and Paraguay for ocean service. Towed to Lorain OH late fall for final work to prepare her for salt water operation. Was to have been towed to the coast by Paraguay but was not ready before the canal locks were closed for the winter. Enrollment surrendered Nov 3, 1900. Paraguay, Liberty and Loyalty wintered at Lorain and operated in Great Lakes service for the 1901 season.
Reenrolled at Duluth MN April 29, 1901 (#70) to:
International Steamship Co., Duluth MN, A. B. Wolvin, Mgr.
Towed down the Welland Canal Nov 9, 1901 and left the Great Lakes
Renamed S. O. Co. No. 90 1901
Foundered Sept 26, 1906 off Tortugas FL. Bound with petroleum from Port Arthur TX to New York NY. All nine aboard lost.
