Built for salt water service but operated on the Great Lakes for 1899 and 1900 seasons because “she’s making big money on the Lakes.” (Detroit Free Press Oct 8, 1899)

Left the Great Lakes fall 1900 (grounded at Philadelphia PA on arrival there).  Chartered to carry coal from Philadelphia to Boston MA but sold to west coast interests in spring 1901.

Renamed Ketchikan 1917, Nizina 1927 and Nizina Maru (Jap.) 1936

Scrapped 1937 in Japan
